ONE WORLD

My wanderlust continues to grow, even as I’ve put down roots in the Colorado high country. In the past few years I’ve traveled to Jamaica, Costa Rica, Germany, France and Austria with my son, Dylan. This year, he’ll have a “fifth-grade passport” ski ticket, valid for free skiing at nearly all of Colorado’s resorts, so we are already planning some winter road trips.
 
My girlfriend, Leigh, has been the inspiration for all my recent travel stories and photography. We’ve shared some wild adventures, including a birthday visit to Belize, a Southwest road trip and this summer's rail jaunt through Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia, ending with a border-crossing to Croatia riding tandem on a red Vespa.
 
Traveling and skiing with my son have enabled me to see life through his eyes, reminding me that we live in a magical world, full of laughter and simple pleasures. Traveling with Leigh has fortified my passion for adventure and new discoveries. Writing about our journeys is nearly as rewarding as the actual journeys.
